Mystery School

Bolan School, LaMarque, Galveston County, Texas Kathy sent a photo that has information on the back. "The Old Bolan Schoolhouse at Clear Creek (La Marque, TX)". We're wondering if anyone can shed some light on the school. Was it named for an area or maybe a resident.
Texas City Students of Miss Wilson, 1947 and 1949 (two school years).
